Brooks Young Band: Front and ‘Center’

Center Barnstead is becoming the hub of New Hampshire entertainment.

On Saturday January 31st at 8PM the Brooks Young Band will perform at the Barnstead Church, a newly renovated music venue. Fender endorsed artist Brooks Young and band will be one of the first to perform at the new hot spot.

Known nationally for their eclectic synergy of Rock and Blues, the group found local success performing twice with the Legendary B.B. King in Concord. They have been featured artists on 92.5 The River and Buzz Music Magazine. The group tours often, playing Boston and New York City frequently. They’ve even played New York City’s famous Kenny’s Castaways, which has housed Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and Aerosmith.

The Band’s new record “Back on the Ground” is already selling online at Amazon.com, iTunes, and Myspace.com, with discs soon available at local and national retailers. You can also purchase a special limited pressing at the event.

The Barnstead Church (96 Maple Street, Center Barnstead) is the brainchild of Charlie Cantrell, renowned entertainment producer from Seattle. The former St. Paul Catholic Church was set for demolition before Cantrell saved the building and appointed it with modern electrics, sound, lighting, and a three-foot high stage. The venue provides a unique musical experience with divine acoustics.

I had the chance to meet John Mayer a few weeks ago and I took a few videos of him playing during sound check, John is a very nice guy ,I talked to him about BB King and song writing and a few other things plus I gave him my new cd “Back On The Ground”
